My street light is broken. How do I get a street light fixed?
Street Lights
Before you call to report a street light, jot down the pole number. A majority of the light poles in Cypress are owned and maintained by Southern California Edison (SCE).

Make sure to note the address where the pole is located as well as the cross street. Some poles are made of wood or steel and the pole numbers are approximately seven digits long with the letter "E" at the end. The pole numbers are painted on the pole or engraved on a metal tag, placed at eye-level. Other poles are made of concrete with pole numbers located at eye level, painted black on a white background.

To report an inoperable street light call SCE at (800) 611-1911 or you may report the outage at the SCE website (https://www.sce.com/wps/portal/home/outage-center/). Should, Edison tell you that this is not one of their poles then, call the City of Cypress at (714) 229-6740.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
